The Red Feather Signs Author Filip Hammarström for Art of Stories

The book will be published in two editions: Art of Stories - 100 steg till ditt manus (Swedish) and Art of Stories - 100 Steps to Your Screenplay (English), with publication planned for November 2026.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience in film and television, Hammarström explores the psychology, dramatic structure and creative principles behind effective storytelling. The book presents a comprehensive framework of 100 steps, connecting character development, theme, conflict and narrative architecture with the practical process of writing a screenplay.

Rather than presenting storytelling as a rigid set of rules, Art of Stories offers writers a structured but flexible approach to understanding why stories work, how their individual elements interact and how to develop ideas into compelling narratives.

Although primarily written for screenwriters, the book's principles extend beyond film and television to novels, theatre, games and other forms of narrative storytelling.
